Our Pastor
Pastor & Sister Coleman
Pastor Coleman was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Jesse and Sun Coleman. Due to his dad’s being in the Army, the Coleman family traveled frequently. Jesse Coleman’s final military station was at Fort Lewis, Washington. The Coleman family settled in the outskirts of Olympia just previous to Pastor’s entering the fourth grade.
Pastor Coleman received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in the summer of 1980 at a Pentecostal camp meeting and was baptized in Jesus’ name on March 8, 1981. While in his teens, he felt the call to preach and began to assist in services when called upon. He was also active in outreach, Bible studies, and rest home ministry. In 1990, Pastor Coleman became the official pastor of Christ Temple Apostolic Church.
Sister Rita Coleman was born in Columbia, Kentucky to Chuck and Geraldine McGinnis. She was raised in the Apostolic faith and was filled with the Holy Ghost when she was seven years old. She continued to live for God through her teenage years and young adulthood. Being known as bright and determined, she obtained her nursing degree from Western Kentucky University and was working as a nurse when she and Pastor Coleman met in Covington, Kentucky.
Pastor and Sister Coleman were married on May 14, 1994 at Cane Valley Apostolic Church under Pastor James Loveless. They have four beautiful children: Hannah, Lydia, Daniel and Samuel.
